Thanks so much to Muttley and Caroline Wells of Totteridge Farm, Milton Lilbourne who have donated this beautiful tree to PCCA for the village of Pewsey.
They had this tree in a pot for their first Xmas together 15 yrs ago and are delighted to have it now spreading some cheer to the people of Pewsey this year.
They plant lots of trees and native hedgerow all year, so there’s the added bonus of this being ecologically sustainable.
Our village is really coming together to add a bit of Xmas cheer.
Adam Lonsdale has kindly offered to move it and put it up, and this morning Pewsey Fire Station Watch Manager Mark Hillier has confirmed there is enough space outside the fire station for it to be displayed, also volunteering some of his firefighters to help assemble it.
With one of our volunteers Jhakira Watson nominated as Head Elf and in charge of decorating the tree this is going to be a splendid sight! She is hoping to get local schools and clubs involved in making decorations to adorn the tree.
Revd Jennifer Totney of St John’s Church is organising a nativity and carol service (all following whatever the govt Covid guidelines may be of course).
We’re all getting very excited. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!!
