Our Friendship Cafe enjoyed a morning fit for a queen on Saturday morning, as they joined in the celebrations with lots of lovely cakes.
Regulars Mrs Lorraine Flight and Mrs Sue Russ brought lots of beautifully themed treats for all to share, whilst volunteers Hazel, Brian, Janice and Hilary adorned the cafe in flags. Hazel also ran up some red, white and blue table cloths especially for the occasion.
There was a lovely atmosphere, as always, with everybody enjoying a good old natter.
We’re at the Wesley Hall every Saturday morning 10 – 12 and operate a donations based cafe and fresh fruit and veg market. It’s a great way to meet people and to stock up on your necessary veg too. This week we were even donated some tomato plants, encouraging folk to grow their own. It’s a great initiative and something we really believe in.
