As we embark on a new year, we are thrilled to welcome our newest volunteers to the Positive Community Action family. Your choice to join us is truly appreciated, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to you. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our existing volunteers, who tirelessly work to deliver solutions, help members of our community out of isolation, malnutrition, and poverty, and strive to stop food waste.
Foodshare Initiative: Reaching New Heights
Our Foodshare service has undergone some exciting changes recently. Having successfully tackled most of the local food waste issues, we are now reaching further afield for surplus food collections. This expansion provides more opportunities for potential new volunteers who are unable to volunteer in the mornings to collect from supermarkets in the evenings. While our current volunteers continue to help save the planet by reducing food waste in our community. If you have an hour to spare in the evenings, we would love to hear from you.

Community Bus: A Journey of Collaboration and Progress
Much like the celestial alignment of the planets currently unfolding in our solar system, things are starting to fall into place for Positive Community Action and our community bus project. Over the past six months, we have made significant progress with the bus, overcoming difficulties with electrics and mechanics. The bus is now fully serviced, with a fresh MOT, tax, and insurance.
Our dedicated local carpenter, Mark, has been hard at work on the upstairs conversion, using timber donated by Enterprise Works, Swindon, and Kellaway, Marlborough. The transformation is nearly complete, and the bus will soon be ready to serve the community.
We are looking for more volunteers to join our Community Bus Team in various capacities, including drivers, carpenters, floor layers, and handypersons.

This project has not only brought essential services and support to those in need but has also strengthened our community bonds through collaborative efforts. Just as the planets align, bringing a sense of order and harmony, our collective efforts are aligning to create a brighter future for Pewsey, Marlborough and our surrounding villages.
Looking Ahead
As we look forward to the year ahead, we remain committed to bridging the gaps for the most vulnerable in our society. Together, we can achieve great things and continue to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our community.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. Letβs keep the momentum going!
