Last call for remaining places on our introductory map reading course.
If you fancy getting out and about and finding your way home this course could be for you!
Volunteer Simon Ellis is offering this 3 part course to run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.
It is free of charge and is suitable for ages 11 upwards. Minors must be accompanied by an adult and a basic fitness is required.
Thursday is the first introduction to using a map and compass and is going to be held at the Bouverie Hall at 6-7.30.
Friday is the next theory step and is again at the Bouverie Hall at 6-7.30.
The practical sessions are going to be on Saturday and you can choose between 10-12 or 3-5.
Maps, compasses and friendly banter will be provided, you just have to wear suitable clothing for the weather.
It’s a great way to start socialising again and explore your local area whilst you’re at it!
