Finding our way!

PCA Daily News

We are offering a number of free activities throughout the summer to help people socialize in a safe environment and maybe learn a new skill or two.

One of our volunteers, Simon Ellis, is leading a basic introductory map reading course.

Simon is a qualified map reading instructor whose aim for this course is to give people confidence to go into the countryside and explore new areas with a map and a compass.

There will be 2 theory lessons followed by a practical session in our local area.

These will be held at the Bouverie Hall on Thursday and Friday 23rd and 24th July with the practical on Saturday 25th July.

Thursday will be the introductory lesson and you can choose between 2-3.30 or 6-7.30.

The next theory lesson is on the Friday and again, you can choose between 2-3.30 or 6-7.30.

The outdoor practical sessions will take place on Saturday at 10-12 and 3-5.

We suggest this course is suitable for age 11 onwards with all minors accompanied by an adult.

A very basic level of fitness is required and appropriate outdoor clothes suitable for the weather.

Maps and compasses will be supplied.

Numbers are limited, following safety guidelines, so if you are interested please ring 01672 487022 or email us: info@ourpca.uk.

Please leave your name and contact so we can get back to you.
