Springing into Action: An Exciting Update on Our Community Projects!
It’s been a whirlwind lead-up to spring, with bus renovations well underway and our ongoing services thriving. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals near and far, our project is soaring! The support we’ve received has been truly remarkable, with countless contributions of goods, services, advice, and time.
This year alone, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive:
- Timber donations from Kellaway, Enterprise Works, and Travis Perkins
- Wall cladding from Saniclad
- Upholstery and curtain materials from local designer Fermoie, foam distributor HM Foam, and upholstery expert Serrina Interiors
- Safety flooring donation and fitting from Flawless Flooring
- Tables from KFR, Devizes
Local carpenter Mark Ambrose has been helping us build the new booth seating and benches, office partition wall and door while local electrician Grant Rodgers is working his magic with our electrics. We’re also grateful to a skilled upholsterer from Bridport, who’s kindly offered to drive up and upholster our seats alongside local talent Dan Tozer.

That said, there’s still work to be done! We’re in need of insulation boards, a few handy helpers to fit and clad the upper deck, and someone with a heavy-duty sewing machine to assist with stitching seat covers. If this sounds like you—or someone you know—please get in touch!

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far. This community is truly amazing, and we’re thrilled to be so close to seeing the bus roll out. Special thanks to Marlborough Town Football Club and Marlborough Youth Football Club for giving our Community Bus a home—you’re an absolute credit to your community.

Positive Foodshare Program: Reducing Waste, Helping Others
We’re delighted to announce a new partnership with Marlborough Waitrose and Tesco, in collaboration with Fareshare. Together, we’re redistributing surplus food as part of our Positive Foodshare initiative. Already, we’ve saved 11 more trays of food from going to waste—and this is just the beginning!
To support this expansion, we’ve welcomed a few more evening collection volunteers. Our Foodshare mornings are still hosted at Wesley Hall in Pewsey on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (10–11am), subject to food availability. Follow us on Facebook for updates.
Saturday mornings are particularly lively thanks to our Friendship Cafe, where you can enjoy a cuppa and cake. If you fancy lending a hand, we’re always on the lookout for new recruits—sign up on our website today!

Team BURP: Lending a Helping Hand
Team BURP has been busy assembling food and grocery packs for those in financial difficulty. No referrals are needed—just some basic details to ensure we tailor the right support plan for each applicant.
We’re currently seeking BURP Assessors to join our team. This flexible, work-from-home role includes full training and a DBS (provided by us). If you’re interested, drop us an email at together@ourpca.uk or sign up on our volunteer page.

A Stellar Start for the Community Meals Team
What a year it’s been already for our Community Meals Team! They’ve cooked and delivered over 200 meals, chatting with residents on the phone and hand-delivering delicious home-cooked dishes right to their doors. From casseroles to curries, pies to puddings, our talented cooks cater for every palate with love and care.
If you’d like to be part of this incredible team, we’d love to hear from you. Email us at together@ourpca.uk or reach out via our website.

Strength in Unity and Kindness To everyone who has contributed in any way—thank you. It’s your generosity and compassion that drive us forward. Together, we’re creating a stronger, kinder community.
